Real estate search and listing portal CommonFloor has raised $7.5 mn from existing investors Tiger Global management and Accel India, according to a new report.
New funds will be used to expand into new markets, sales and marketing and product development, Techcrunch reported. Last year, Commonfloor raised series B funding from Accel India and Tiger Global.
CommonFloor started operations from Bangalore in 2007 by a team of IITians. The company was one of the first to roll out map based real estate search in India.
Meanwhile, a similar startup #housing.co.in is also catching up with a differentiated approach to real estate classifieds. The company recently raised another round of funding from former Network18 CEO Haresh Chawla and $2.5mn from Nexus Venture Partners.
