Congress MLA Denies Watching Porn In Assembly, Says YouTube App Sent It To Him

Two-time MLA Naba Kishore Das (53) from Odisha denied watching pornographic material on his phone during an assembly session on Monday; he went on to claim that he was just browsing through his phone when he “accidentally touched the YouTube app and the objectionable clip popped up”.

“The video is on YouTube. The company has sent it and I did not choose it deliberately. This is an unfortunate incident,” ABP quoted him as saying.

“I have never seen any adult video in my life. It appeared accidentally. I immediately shut it down after I noticed it,” said Das while talking to PTI,maxresdefault

BJD MLA Pramila Mallick demanded action against Das after local TV channels’ aired visuals of the MLA staring at his phone during Question Hour.

“The Congress member allegedly watched an adult video inside the House. It is a matter of shame for all of us, particularly the women members. I demand strong action against him and a probe into the matter,” said Mallick, while drawing the attention of the Speaker.

MLA Naba Kishore Das said that he would give a clarification in the House tomorrow.

In 2012 three Karnataka ministers including Lakshman Savdi, C C Patil and Krishna B Palemar quit their posts after allegations of watching porn clips in the assembly. TV visuals showed the three minsters gazing into Savdi’s phone and having a conversation during the assembly session.

Recently we found out that YouTube India had defaulted to pornographic material as a base setting. Take a look at the screenshot below from a fresh new Mac, with no browsing/cookie history + Chrome incognito window.
