The Central government’s Rashtriya Kamdehnu Aayog, with a 500-crore corpus, is offering up to 60% funding to commercialize cow-based business models.
The Aayog not only also encourages dairy products like milk, ghee, etc. but also wants the youth to look for a business model involving cow by-products like dung and urine. It also plans to offer training programs and skill development camps for people already running gaushalas.
The cow board is also looking to promote cow-tourism circuit in areas like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Goa where indigenous cow breeds are reared.
