Forget Vine. Do Stryke. Create Funny Loop Videos

strykeStryke is a free mobile app that lets users capture split-second videos and create video loops from everyday moments. With a single tap any gesture can be recorded and played on a loop to get a funny end result.
Stryke is developed by iPhone app Development firm Global Delight who have previously developed iPhone apps like Boom, Camera Plus, Voila and Photo Delight. Video loops created on Stryke are all stored under the ‘Stryke Stories’ section on the user’s phone. The app also provides the option to remain anonymous while sharing videos on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or through social messaging apps.
Since its soft launch, Stryke boasts of a sign-up rate of 70%. The 7-day retention rate is around 24% with average session length of around 120 seconds. Stryke currently has more than 10,000 users on board. Stryke claims that their videos have been shared 3 times more than text messages indicating that the app is setting up a new trend in social messaging.
Stryke is currently on iOS and will be released on Android shortly. The app has been featured on iTunes as ‘best new apps’ for the week.
The interesting part about this app’s development was that about 50-100 students from colleges like University of California-Berkeley, University of Texas at Austin and University of Wisconsin-Madison were involved in using the app in its early stages and giving feedback for improvement.
Here are a few ‘Stryke Stories’. Have a look:
