Now You Can Also Have An Ecommerce Store – Infibeam Launches BuildaBazaar [DIY ECommerce Store]

Infibeam has launched BuildaBazaar, a DIY Ecommerce store that will enable anybody to have their own ecommerce store.buildbazaar

Register at the site, define a dedicated URL, choose a theme and you will have an option either to upload your own catalog or chose products from Infibeam’s catalog.

What about payment processing?

Infibeam will collect payment on products sold via your store and the pricing varies depending on the product category (anywhere between 1% to 5%). You can also chose to be an Infibeam affiliate and sell products from their catalog.

As far as the service pricing is concerned, the basic version is free (limited 6 months/only 1000 SKUs) and Professional costs Rs. 2500/month.

A Commerce Network?

What’s important about this platform is that you can bring your own catalog and Infibeam can also sell your products on their store, essentially giving Infibeam an access to sellers/products they don’t have otherwise.

As ecommerce companies grow beyond regular categories like books, music etc, there surely is a need for a “Do Not Make Me Think” service that enables sellers to come online and give them the necessary tools/utilities to start selling (i.e. an inbuilt payment gateway service, plus necessary site traffic).

Overall, an exciting development.

What’s your take? Infibeam completes the loop (while Flipkart is still pushing the affiliate section)?
