Indian batsman Robin Uthappa has joined the bandwagon of cricketers who have invested in several startups in the recent past.
Robin Uthappa through his firm Caffeine Ventures has invested an undisclosed amount in Bangalore-based healthcare startup HealthEminds.
HealthEminds was founded by Ankita Puri and Sunita Maheshwari in 2013. HealthEminds is a psychiatry and psychology clinic that provides mental health therapy and wellness advice through video counseling, and thus maintaining the anonymity of a person. It is an online platform to connect counselors, psychologists and coaches to individuals through video, telephonic and chat communication systems. There are currently 70 professionals across India on the platform.
“Today, online is a great medium for people to easily reach out for help whether it is to overcome depression, blocks or break barriers in their lives with the right help,” said Uthappa.
CEO and Founder Ankita Puri said that the funds from Caffeine ventures will be used to launch a new product, increase reach and expand the operations team.
