Cyanogen fires OS development arm, India office is being ‘gutted’

The company, which branded itself as an alternative to Android, is making significant staff cuts, with over 20% of its total workforce being laid off. Its offices in Lisbon and India reportedly are being essentially gutted, as part of its strategic shift. Cyanogen will “pivot” to “apps” and away from OS development.
