Mobile Network For Doctors Daily Rounds Raises $500k In Seed Funding

Daily Rounds, a Bangalore-based startup building a network of academic doctors on mobile, has raised seed round funding of $500,000 from Kae Captial, Teruhide Sato and GSF.
The company currently has over 45,000 doctors using its network, providing them with free clinical cases, quizzes, news and other medical content.
Daily Rounds
Doctors get a feed of clinical cases as part of their daily feed, which can then be shared with peers. Further the app also allows users to generate content.
Daily Rounds has partnered with WikiDoc, Harvard School of Medicine, and has editors from Stanford School Medicine, AIIMS and other top med schools.
Over 300 doctors join Daily Rounds each day, and the newly raised capital will be used to strengthen its technology and data repository. An iOS version of the app is also in the pipeline.
