  1. Really,

    Are You Mentioning Targetstudy?

Try to judge Collegedunia as a product even if it is in a very nascent phase, the website has very good pool of data. Although, it will be a decision of investors but generally funding is made on How promising the startup will be in upcoming years. Targetstudy traffic is almost stagnant since last few years and no innovation has been made in terms of product. But meanwhile collegedunia has made significant development in Product and Traction both.

  2. Am I reading correctly that this company got funded because of the traffic it is generating to its site ??? or is it something else too.. did not get any logic behind this company’s funding or anything unique or worth noting except that the founder is a well established guy.

if it got funded because of traffic, then one of my friends runs which has better information, better traffic (much better global and india ranking than collegedunia on Alexa) and it has not only all the college information from India but about entrance exams, schools, courses, and anything and everything about education. The only business model he runs is advertisements and his revenue is already upwards of a Rs 1 crore. I am sure Collegedunia is not making revenue of that sort till now ?

What am I missing in my understanding in this article ?
