Delhi To Get Free WiFi By Feb 2016

640px-Delhi_districts.svgThe National Capital will soon be ornamented as the fully WiFi-enabled state in the country, Kolkata being the first WiFi enabled city in India. Delhi will get full WiFi coverage in two years and around 700 WiFi hotspots will be set up by February 2016.
Free WiFi across Delhi was a promise made by the ruling Aam Admi Party during the election campaigning.
“In terms of revenue, sky is the limit. Give them free wifi till the time it (browsing by public) is limited to basic services such as e-mail, government websites. If he wants to watch movie, download movie, make him pay,” says Adarsh Shastri, Parliamentary Secretary to the State government’s Minister of IT.
