The Delhi Dialogue Commission on Monday submitted “office memorandum” to transport department. The Commission has drafted a policy for the bus aggregators, trying to regulate the system.
After the odd-even traffic restrictions was implemented in Delhi, all the bus aggregators including Ola, Zipgo have seen an increase in riders.
The commission held consultations with stakeholders and transport department officials before formulating the draft policy.
All the bus aggregators will be under the contract carriage permit system that considers vehicles that are hired to go from point A to B without dropping or picking up passengers on the way. The policy will include that the operators know the people who being carried and have entered into a contract with them.
