On-Demand Tutoring App HashLearn Gets Backing From Top-Notch Investors

HashLearn, the on-demand tutoring app that connects students with tutors has got backing from a plethora of ace list investors, the company has announced.

Investors include Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Google India head Rajan Anandan, People Group founder Anupam Mittal, Singapore Angel Network, angel investor Sunil Kalra, former Flipkart chief product officer Mekin Maheshwari, former Flipkart president-operations Sujeet Kumar, Capillary Technologies co-founder Krishna Mehra and UK-based Taylor & Francis Group’s chief technology officer Max Gabriel.

Founded by education entrepreneur Jayadev Gopalakrishnan and technologist Gokul Janga, HashLearn lets students get free 24/7 tutoring with the help of their mobile app. The app allows students to connect instantly and have their subject-related doubts solved by tutors from institutions such as the IIT and BITS.

HashLearn covers Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for students of Classes VIII to XII, covering school examinations of all Boards and State or National Entrance tests.

The undisclosed funds raised will be used for building categories and product besides marketing, the company said.
