Chinese telecommunications network provider Huawei is planning to tap the relatively unexplored Indian market for its IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) products. The proposed move assumes significance in the wake of broadcast regulator TRAI’s announcement earlier this week that a draft paper on IPTV services in India is expected to be ready within a month.
Infotech to map Chennai, Ahmedabad
Infotech Enterprises Ltd (IEL) has announced the inauguration of a dedicated facility in Survey of India (SoI). The company will be employing soft copy photogrammetry technology to extract features in 3D. A team from IEL will operate from this secure facility and complete the project in four months time. Around 500 sq. km of thickly populated urban areas will be covered at 1:1000 scale in these two cities.
