DIY Event Ticketing Platform TownScript Secures Funding

TownscriptDo-It-Yourself event ticketing platform TownScript has raised an undisclosed amount in the angel round from multiple investors.
Investors participating in the round included  Mohit Garg (Co-Founder, MindTickle),  Mahesh Parasuraman (Managing Director- Carlyle Group), Nipam Shah (Founder, NRS Advisors), Dheeraj Vasisht (Director – Ameretat Technologies), Sandeep Bhandarkar (CEO – Ameretat Technologies), Hemal Patel ( CEO – Cyberoam Technologies), Lalit Singh (Executive Director – Enterprise Services HP), Kalyan G (AVP Technology Business, Mahindra Tech) and few others.

TownScript is a Pune based company founded by IIT graduate Sachin Sharma and MIT graduate Sanchit Malik. It was launched in January 2014 and the firm claims to have 30% month-on-month growth.
Townscript allows users to sell tickets, manage payments and keep track of attendee lists. Domestic transactions have zero setup costs. TownScript charges 5% of the total transaction value on domestic transactions and 6% for international transactions. TownScript is currently free for free events and users can set up their online registration forms, send invites and manage attendee lists.
TownScript aims to achieve 400% growth in event ticketing and to serve more than 5000 small and medium customers this year.
