“It is a pre-Series A round. The amount will run into a few crores of rupees,” Shantanu Jha, co-founder & CEO of DocSuggest told VCCircle.
The startup is trying to bridge the gap between doctors and patients by providing a service to list and review doctors so that users can take a better decision. DocSuggest also allows patients to book appointments through their portal or phone number.
The company also offers a service called EzMedicine, with which users can order medicines and have it delivered. The prescription is verified at the time of delivery.
Some eight months ago, online service for scheduling appointment with doctors, Practo raised $5 mn from Sequoia Capital. The startup founded in 2009, had also implemented features like a virtual receptionist and an API for partners to launch other services doctors and clinics can use.
