Springboard, an edtech startup has raised $1.7 million in seed funding from a set of marquee investors. They include Allen Blue (cofounder of LinkedIn), John Katzman (founder of The Princeton Review), 500 Startups, InMobi cofounders Naveen Tewari and Amit Gupta.

Kartik Hosanagar, a professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, serial entrepreneur Kashyap Deorah and Blue Fog CapitalĀ also participated in the funding round.

The raised funds will be used to launch more services for students and also expand the courses. Springbpard (earlier known as SlideRule) , launched in 2013 curates curriculum for students and facilitates video calls with mentors.
