Government of India has released a statement citing details about funds released and utilized for Common Service Centres and E-district Mission Mode Projects, to be implemented across all the districts of the country under e-governance projects. According to the statement, in financial year 2009-10 Government had allocated 13.64 crore total for E-district Mission Mode Projects. During 2009, only two states and a union territory received fund for the e-governance projects, Assam received INR 13.25 crore, Sikkim got 0.21 crore and Andaman & Nicobar island secured 0.18 crore. In addition to that User Charges (UCs) as received amassed 29.13 crore in the same period (2009-10).
Meanwhile in 2010-11, Government had released 11.48 crore for E-district Mission Mode Projects. Out of this, Karnataka received 9.74 crore, Kerela 0.45 crore, Goa 0.002 crore, Manipur 0.63 crore, Nagaland 0.46 crore and Sikkim secured 0.21 crore. During this period UCs as received pegged around 16.36 crore.
For financial year 2011-12, Government had released 80 crores (8005.80 lakh) for e-district national roll out. Out of this, Gujarat got the highest INR 10 crore (1003 lakh) followed by Assam 8.9 crore (890.60 lakh), Chhattisgarh 5.2 crore (520.88 lakh), Kerela 5.05 crore (505.85 lakh) along with other states and Union Territories. Arunchal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana did not get any fund for e-district roll out during 2011-12 session, however statement states allocation of 3.3 crore (331.93 lakh) for Arunachal Pradesh and 1.9 crore for Punjab in financial year 2012-13.
As of now, Government has released 5.3 crore (529.05 lakh) for financial year 2012-13. Interestingly, the statement does not account figure of fund utilized either by states or Union Territories (UTs).
