Election Commission, Facebook Join Hands to Launch ‘Register to Vote’ Campaign

The Election Commission of India has partnered with Facebook to launch a campaign to promote voter registration, in five poll-bound states.

From October 6 to 9, Facebook users in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, and Uttarakhand, will receive a notification in their news feed, asking them to cast their vote. Clicking on the ‘register to vote’ button will redirect users to the National Voters’ Services Portal, which will help them in the registration process, in a first of its kind collaboration.
