“About a year, year-and-a-half ago, we felt like we could do even better if we went down the acquisition route,” said Saurabh Sinha, President & CEO of eMids.
The funding round was led by Nashville based Council Capital and Baird Capital’s venture capital group of Chicago.
The company, founded in 1999, said that it will be using the funds for further acquisitions, mainly of health care consulting firms, as it plans to to strengthen and get an equally strong expertise in healthcare subject matter and hard technology skills.
The investor, Council Capital, is a private equity firm that invests exclusively in high-growth healthcare IT and healthcare services companies.
In addition to eMids Nashville office, the company has a large offshore presence in India too.
