Nearly one third of Indian enterprises polled by them said that they have already deployed at least on enterprise mobility solution other than e-mail.

In future, CRM (planned by 38 percent organizations), ERP (planned by 40 percent organizations), SCM (planned by 31 percent organizations), Sales Force Automation (planned by 25 percent organizations) as well as Time Management / Billing & Field Service / Order Booking applications (planned by 25 percent organizations) are the key applications that are expected to< witness mobilization, said Zinnov. The whitepaper published by Zinnov and Citrix said that a comprehensive enterprise mobility deployment can help organizations gain competitive edge, reduce missed customer opportunities as well as help open new revenue streams.

The key concerns that inhibit growth of enterprise mobility are related to security, support, cost and compliance. Only about 40% of the enterprises had a well defined strategy for enterprise mobility, even though a large portion of the work force has started using mobile devices at work.

The huge rise in adoption of smartphones has percolated most into technology savvy young workforce. This has resulted in an increasing pressure on organizations to support both devices i.e., corporate user machines as well as personal mobile devices.

According to the report, Technology decision makers are aware about the needs of business stakeholders and are planning to mobilize enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, and Sales Force Automation.
