As Yahoo continues to flounder in its efforts to achieve growth, there have been a raft of top-level exits at the company.
This time around it was Eric Lange, vice president of analytics and publisher products at Yahoo’s ad business, who left the company to join Indian e-commerce player Flipkart.
At Flipkart, Lange will assume the role of vice president of product management for customer service experience. He is also credited with leading the recent acquisitions of Flurry and BrightRoll at Yahoo.
Lange is the third high-profile hire Flipkart has made this year. Earlier this year the company hired former Google executives Punit Soni as its CPO and Peeyush Ranjan to head engineering.
As Flipkart and other such younger companies are able to pull in talent, Yahoo is suffering from a massive brain drain as CEO Marissa Mayer struggles to turn the company’s fortunes around.
Apart from Lang, two other high-level exits from Yahoo this year were Mike Kerns, SVP of Yahoo’s homepage and Ned Brody, head of the Americas.
