Uberdreams.com, which offers experiences of meeting celebrities and fulfilling other wishes, has raised $500,000 in funding from the Mascot Group, headed by Mohit Lalvani.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Savan Daru, Uber Dreams lists unique experiences on its website, which can be redeemed for a fixed price. Currently, the website lists more than 75 such experiences. The investment will be utilized in expanding its list of offerings and into marketing, the company said in a statement.
The company also plans to launch ‘Uber Dreams Auctions’ that will allow wishes/dreams to be auctioned, with the winning bidder getting the chance to fulfill that dream.
According to its CEO Savan Daru, the revenue generated on both the experiences and auctions platform will go to charities like People for Animals, CRY, Virat Kohli Foundation, Reef Watch, Voice of Martyrs, NAB and others.
