Facebook is getting larger by the day and has just announced that for the first time ever 1 billion individuals accessed the social network in a single day.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, made the announcement via a post that said, “On Monday, 1 in 7 people on Earth used Facebook to connect with their friends and family.”
The sheer size of Facebook is no match for any other social network and it’s quite impressive how the company has managed to continually grow.
After crossing the 1 billion monthly active user milestone, none other seemed significant enough until this. Now let’s see how far the company gets.
Growth for Facebook will soon mean getting people who’ve never accessed the Internet onto its service, which is why the company is pushing for initiatives such as Internet.org despite it being controversial.
