Facebook Dares LinkedIn With New Job Opening Feature

Marketplace, Workplace, Events and Movie Ticketing. In little more than a month, Facebook’s aggressive feature introduction has set alarm bells ringing among businesses focused on these verticals, and now the social network has set its eyes on LinkedIn with its new job opening feature.

The company said that it was testing a feature that allowed page admins to create job postings and receive applications from interested candidates.

“Based on behavior we’ve seen on Facebook, where many small businesses post about their job openings on their Page, we’re running a test for page admins to create job postings and receive applications from candidates,” a Facebook spokesperson told Reuters.

There is no word yet about the feature’s official launch, but whenever it does, it is sure to unsettle LinkedIn’s current dominance in this space.
