Facebook has launched messenger for kids – and they should shut it down

Facebook will do anything to grab them young.
Anything.
In its latest, Facebook has launched messenger app for kids, a standalone app that lives on kids’ tablets or smartphones but can be controlled from a parent’s Facebook account.

After talking to thousands of parents, associations like National PTA, and parenting experts in the US, we found that there’s a need for a messaging app that lets kids connect with people they love but also has the level of control parents want (source)

In all its true sense, Mark Zuckerberg will not give this app to his child and so is the case for most of Facebook employees.
They all know online – no matter what Facebook tells you, is a dirty place. Especially for kids. Internet is an open playground for bullying, harassment and let’s be honest – your kids don’t need so much of connectedness.
Facebook is struggling with its ageing TG and while it has been copying Snapchat, this is an extremely dirty game Facebook is playing to grab users the moment they go online.
The only question I have for Mr Mark Zuckerberg.

Will you give this app to your child?
