FarFaria, developer of an iPad app for children’s books has raised $3.25 million in Series A funding from Inventus Capital Partners and other angels.
The iPad app for children’s stories was launched in March 2013, and lets users access over 600 illustrated, interactive children’s books for $3.99 per month.
Features in the app include interactive book-finding, a read-to-me feature and a reading level badge.
The app also offers a story a day free to users and books offered are for children between 8-9. You can get the app here.
Inventus Capital’s Manu Rekhi said that subscription-based services like FarFaria’s were a key theme to them. The investment follows Inventus’ announcement that it had raised a second fund of $106 million to back US-India startups.
