FCC bans Huawei and ZTE equipment in US, citing national security risk

Due to concerns about national security, the FCC has prohibited communications and video surveillance equipment from numerous China-based companies, including Huawei and ZTE.

The US government has frequently targeted Huawei and ZTE due to espionage fears. However, the restriction also bars Dahua, Hytera, and Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology from selling equipment in the US.
