FindUrClass has raised a fresh round of funding from a set of investors, including members of VentureNursery. Angel investors who participated in the round include Amit Patni, Anirudh Damani and Samir Shah.
Launched in March 2015, Mumbai based FindUrClass is an extra-curricular activity and hobby class curation startup and has over 20,000 classes listed on the platform. Over 100 categories listed range from art and craft, sports and adventure, singing, music and dance to cooking and photography among others.
Founded by Rina Nathani, the platform aggregates trainers hyper locally and curates classes keeping in mind safety, security, hygiene and instructor quality.
The startup will use the funds to scale up and expand to other Tier 1 cities. The company recently expanded to Pune and Bangalore.
“Our experience in Mumbai pointed to a growing trend among Indian families to invest about one-third of their education spend on extracurricular activities. This trend is driven by the growing emphasis on overall development of kids and more and more young Indians opting for passion based careers,” said FindUrClass Founder and CEO Rina Nathani.
