Mobile based fitness startup HealthifyMe has raised $6 million (Rs 40 Crore) led by IDG Ventures India, Inventus Capital and Blume Ventures.

HealthifyMe which was founded in 2012 and launched in 2013, scaled from 30,000 users in January 2015 to 5,00,000 users across iOS and Android.

With the raised funds, the startup plans to invest in its technology and product. With a team of 100 members, the Singapore headquartered firm also plans to hire 30-40 engineers and make strategic acquisitions. The startup also plans to grow its user base by 10x in the next two-three years.

The app connects users to nutritionists and trainers who review the users and customize diet plans based on their lifestyle and health problems. The users can also interact with the coaches who suggests exercises based on the users’ health and provide guidelines.

The firm also partners with corporates and medical institutions to provide engaging programmes.

“Our vision is to make healthy living easy, fun and affordable for all. With these funds we plan to impact 5 million users and tie up with over 500 corporate and healthcare partners,” said Tushar Vashisht, CEO HealthifyMe.

The startup had earlier raised its seed round from Micromax.
