E-commerce company has launched a native Android app. The app can be used to shop from Flipkart and it supports voice search and barcode scanning.

If you need to compare prices while shopping offline, you could do a quick barcode scan and see if Flipkart is selling it cheaper.

With the Flipkart Android app, you can access products you have already viewed even if you aren’t connected to the network. We found the barcode scanner to be great and quick on wi-fi as well as 3G.

Last month, Flipkart had announced a major push into e-books and launched new apps. The company also partnered with Smashwords to launch self publishing & source indie ebooks.

You can download the app here.
