Flipkart has now opened its logistics eKart services for all other e-commerce firms. It plans to roll out an inter-city customer-to-customer courier service called eFlash by the end of next two months.
The new service is currently in beta phase and is available only to Flipkart employees in Bangalore.
The eKart service has already been taken up by Jabong and Shopclues. It as an independent entity and will raise funds separately.
Flipkart also invested Rs 666 crore into eKart. With 16 fulfillment centres, Ekart currently completes around 3.25-lakh deliveries a day and around 75% of Flipkart’s deliveries.
