Flipkart to Allow UPI Transactions, Integrates PhonePe on its Android App

PhonePe, Flipkart’s UPI-based payments app has been fully integrated into the e-commerce firm’s Android app, allowing customers to do transactions using the unified payment interface (UPI) from within the mobile app.
With this, customers who do not have PhonePe app can use UPI for purchases on the Flipkart app by linking his or her bank account during the checkout path. Till now, those looking to pay for purchases on Flipkart through the UPI needed to download the PhonePe app.
PhonePe has also crossed over 10 million downloads on Google Play Store and is available in nine languages.
