Food apps agree to tweak discount menu: NRAI

NRAI and food aggregators have come to an agreement to create a restaurant friendly business environment. The NRAI had urged them to stop deep discounting, which was hurting the industry.

The online food apps have also agreed to modify their offers and will drive engagement against deep discounts. Though, this will directly impact customers who had become habitual of discounts through these apps.

The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) had also come in the support of the NRAI. Earlier, restaurants across the country had started to boycott internet aggregators to protest deep discounts.
