Foodpanda’s ‘Food Doctor’ To Diagnose Restaurants On Hygiene And Quality

With an aim to educate its 12000+ restaurant partners on the basics of hygiene and quality standards, food delivery startup Foodpanda has launched a quality compliance program called Food Doctor Program (FDP). With this, Foodpanda is going to focus on quality standards for all the kitchen ops cycles, right from procurement of raw material to the final stage of dispatching packaged food from the restaurant to the customer.

FDP will rate restaurants based on audits, which will be displayed across the Foodpanda platform for customers and even at the restaurants. Foodpanda has also roped in multiple consultants and industry experts to develop the best practice guides, audits, and FDP certification criteria. These would be available to the partner restaurants and the customers on a separate portal, the company said.

Commenting on the new initiative, Saurabh Kochhar, Co-founder & CEO, Foodpanda India said, “Restaurant hygiene and quality are the biggest apprehensions in mind of the customer today. With Food Doctor Program, we intend to bring more transparency on these aspects.”
