Bangalore based education startup, Foradian Technologies has raised funding from Fabindia MD, turned angel investor, William Bissell. Foradian has raised $2 million in funding through this round.
Foradian provides open source ERP software solutions to educational institutions in more than 100 countries. Their proprietary software, Fedena is currently being used in over 40,000 educational institutions across the world including in countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
Bissell decided to invest in Foradian after witnessing Fedena at work in ‘The Fabindia’ school in Rajasthan. The Fabindia school was started by William and John Bissell in Bali, Rajasthan in 1992. Fedena is now used by more than 40,000 schools and colleges.
COO of Foradian Technologies, Abdulla Hisham said , “Fedena is being used in several developing countries and with this round of funding, we will now look to scale horizontally via expanding our business in markets like USA, Canada and Europe.”
