Foxconn Gets Karnataka Land for New Phone Manufacturing Unit

  • The Karnataka government has given land to Foxconn for setting up a phone manufacturing unit near Bengaluru.
  • In March, Foxconn announced plans to invest $968 million in the Karnataka facility, despite competition from Telangana.
  • The unit will be established on a 300-acre area at the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR), near Bengaluru International Airport.
