Fitness Tracking Device Startup GetActive, fund raising platform LetsVenture, social shopping website VioletStreet & ride sharing startup Ziffy have raised funding.

getactiveFitness tracking company GetActive has raised funding from Mohandas Pai, the Chairman of Manipal global Education Services and Sharad Hegde, former Infosys CTO. GetActive makes a wearable band which can track physical activity. It also sells the GetActive program along with the device which can track your steps, sleep and sync the data with an app. It will compete with Vishal Gondal’s GoQii. (via)

LetsVenture Secures Rs 4 cr From Angels

LetsVenture, a platform for startups to rais money has secured Rs 4 cr funding from angel investors (about 21 of them) including Manav Garg of Eka Software, InMobi co-founder Naveen Tewari, Angel investors Rajan Anandan and Sharad Sharma.

LetsVenture is like Angel List. It was founded by Manish Singhal, Sanjay Jha and Shanti Mohan, a former HP Labs executive. India sees less than 300 angel and seed investments in a year. LetsVenture wants to move this up to a 1000.

VioletStreet & Ziffy Raise Rs 10 lakh

Social shopping website VioletStreet and ridesharing application Ziffy have raised Rs 10 lakh from angel. The two companies were part of a group of 9 that pitched at a TiE event. Violetstreet is a social commerce platform founded by Ankur Gupta, an engineering graduate. (via)
