Google Search Results Show Content From Apps Not Installed On A User’s Smartphone

Google App Indexing for Android is already a great way of showing users not just search results from the web, but information from within apps they’ve got installed on their phones.
Now Google has rolled out a new feature that shows users Play Store suggestions for apps containing the information they’re searching for, which aren’t installed on their phones.
The company says that users may begin to see app install buttons in their search results that leads them to the Play Store, where they can install the app, and then continue straight to the information they were initially seeking.
Further, Google will begin using App Indexing as a ranking signal for all users on Android, regardless of whether they have the app installed on their phone or not. The move is in line with helping developers onboard more users as well as re-engage existing ones.
