Google’s First Apple Watch App Delivers News Headlines & Weather Updates

Google has long built iOS apps to bring its service onto rival devices and isn’t doing it differently when it comes to the company’s wearable computing platform.
Google Apple Watch App
The company has released its first app for the Apple Watch with an update to ‘Google News & Weather’ for iOS, which as its name suggests will push news and weather updates to the wrist.
While the app isn’t exactly mind blowing, it does show that Google is looking to build apps for the Apple Watch, which is great considering we might get to see Google Now or Google Maps on the device in the near future.
The news app lets Apple Watch users scroll through article headlines, and even see an accompanying photograph, but does not let a user read any part or the whole article itself. Users, however, can save articles onto Safari’s reading list via force touch.
While Google News & Weather is far from the oft exciting things we get to see from Google, it certainly does show that the company isn’t shying away from developing for rival platforms despite its own Android Wear deal not performing as expected.
