- Google has filed a patent with the WIPO for a ‘Connected Flight Mode’ that goes beyond traditional Airplane Mode.
- The new mode will automatically detect when a user is flying, and preserve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity while disabling other radios.
- This not only keeps devices connected but also allows high-bandwidth tasks to be executed on flight network, mimicking ground Wi-Fi functionalities.
