Google may expand Wi-Fi service to malls, universities and public places #NextBillionUsers

Google is planning to expand its free wifi service to public places such as malls, cafés and universities (Google has completed rollout of RailWire across 400 railway stations).
For the expansion, Google is in talks with several stakeholders including telecom operators and internet service providers (ISPs) and state governments.

“Whosoever is interested in public Wi-Fi ecosystem, we are engaging with them to drive the access. Our philosophy is: how do we connect the next billion?”

Aside, talking about public places, Indian women / young girls feel least safe in public places.
