Bengaluru City traffic police is testing dynamic traffic lights that change with real-time traffic data from Google Maps.
Commuters claimed that there was a noticeable difference in waiting time at these signals and improvement in traffic conditions. This has prompted the Traffic Department to plan a wider implementation of the technology to ease out traffic woes in the city.
Though the system is not perfect yet and is being improved which may lead to better traffic management claimed an official responsible for the implementation of the technology.
