Google to Introduce Quality Control for Foldable Devices

  • Foldable phones should be able to last at least 200,000 folds/unfolds, corresponding to five years of 100 daily folds or ten years of 50 daily folds.
  • Google’s other requirement includes Android OEMs providing at least two major OS updates and three years of security updates.
