Google Ups Gmail Security with ‘Verify it’s you’ Feature for Sensitive Actions

Google has announced new security measures including a ‘Verify it’s you’ confirmation for sensitive actions in Gmail.
Sensitive actions include editing filters, adding forwarding addresses, and enabling IMAP access, with verification using 2-Step Verification or another trusted method.
Upon failing verification, users will receive a ‘Critical security alert’ to lockdown accounts; feature available for all personal Google Accounts and Workspace customers.
