Google will let you stream Podcasts directly from search results

Google has decided to index Podcast episodes making them easier to find and even easier to listen to. This will result in playable podcasts to appear alongside web pages whenever a relevant query is searched.

Going forward users will not be required to use the term ‘Podcast” while searching for a particular episode. Google Assistant and Google Podcast for the web will also get this facility in due course of time.

Publishers will be able to specify a preferred playback destination (app or a third-party website) for their podcasts. Subscription-only episodes will have an option to be excluded from the search results.
