Mobile retailer Spice mobility has launched the first two of its AndroidLand stores in India. These stores are meant to offer Android experiences to its customers and will also showcase a range of Android devices, services and accessories.
Earlier this year Google partnered with BK Modi’s Spice Global to set up experience stores in various Indian cities.
The newly launched stores are located at Koramangala in Bangalore and at the Great India Place mall in Noida. The 2300 sqft Bangalore store and 900 sqft Noida store will provide users with live demo units so that they can experience the Android platform in real time.
Spice, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Lenovo, Xolo, Micromax, Karbonn, LG, are some of the Android device manufacturers who are present at the AndroidLand store in Bangalore and Noida.
Customers will be able to get a look and feel of the Android based smartphones and tablets manufactured by these companies.
The store will also showcase the most popular apps and games from Google Play. For users looking for some help or advice with the device, the AndroidLand store staff, who have been specially trained on the Android platform, will help you set-up, customize and provide you with app recommendations for your chosen device. All stores will also come with free Wi-Fi for customers to browse, search and download apps from the Google Play store.
In April, we had reported that a group of Chinese manufacturers were planning to open retail stores in India under the brand name Android Guruz to sell Chinese Android phones. But now it looks like that company has now moved to an online only model for its Chinese Android phones.
