The civil aviation ministry announced that it’s working with the telecom ministry and the Union home ministry to allow passengers to use Wi-Fi services on flights, indicating that a decision is likely to be taken soon.
“I will be able to give you good news in 10 days,” Civil Aviation Secretary RN Choubey said in response to a question on when Wi-Fi would be allowed in flights.
Currently, passengers are not allowed to use Wi-Fi services in the Indian airspace due to security concerns.
