Greaves Cotton led Ampere Vehicles to launch two new electric scooters this year

Indian diesel automotive engine maker, Greaves Cotton is planning to launch two new battery-operated scooters under its Ampere brand.

The company is looking to expand its sales and service channel and also wants to invest in technology and resources with an aim to become a leading player in the segment.

To attract young customers, the company has collaborated with major e-commerce platforms like PayTM, Flipkart and Amazon for online sales apart from developing its own online platform.

Ampere Vehicles was acquired by Greaves Cotton for 120 crores and has launched only one e-scooter, Zeal, post its acquisition.
