Interesting piece of advice on hiring and building the initial team (and DNA).


  • Initially, hiring has to be Inbound. There was a very nice article by Gabriel Weinberg (DuckDuckGo founder) which unfortunately not available now. You have to make people find you with a reason to work for you. Also give preference to people with character and frequency of matching than skill.

  • When you are in an industry which is totally different from the ones you have worked earlier, it gets tricky. You need people who have a better understanding of the industry – so skill matters in that case (even for the initial team). Atleast that’s what I have understood from my personal experience.
