HamaraGuru is a salary check and reviews portal for Indian companies. The site requires you to anonymously post your salary details and allows you to check salaries of all designation across companies in India. The site currently boasts of 3700 salary records across 700 companies.
The UI is clean and there seems to be some effort on SEO as well. The reviews are useful as they come in firsthand from employees with their designation. For most companies listed the portal serves as a good research tool for any aspirant.
Though the site is currently hosting Adsense for revenue but in the long run the authority that HamaraGuru creates might as well make it the Alexa for Indian companies. The founder is a HR consultant so they must have figured out the potential already.
In the current state the team should look at improving the SEO efforts as there is still potential. Untill WoM spreads, Google is going to be the major traffic generator. Also the registration requirement for detailed view should be avoided.

For each company they should have an editorially managed excerpt. What does HamaraGuru itself think about IBM or Microsoft? This will help add further value to already existing user reviews. Also, there should be an effort to include headhunters in the system as they are already an integral part of the existing ecosystem.
